Join Stroud Folk Choir as we sing rousing shanties, joyous celebration songs, haunting laments and catchy ditties. Traditional and contemporary folk songs from our own fair isles and from other cultures around the world taught in 3 and 4 part harmony.

Each session begins with a body, breath, voice warm up to prepare ourselves for singing, and we learn by ear in the usual folk tradition, so you don't need to read music, though there will often be printed word sheets. Throughout the Summer we'll be open for all to come on a drop in basis, learning fun and simple songs that we can learn and sing together in one session. Children over 8 are welcome (I'll be starting a choir that younger children can come to in October so please check this link if you'd like to sing with your kids).

*I can't guarantee I'll be able to offer you a place in the choir after the Summer ends, but there is often shift in the choir as people's lives take them off in different directions so it's worth getting yourself on the waiting list: https://forms.gle/xyD9Cz11D6zysweC8
