About the event

Here's what Eppy Fest organiser Ian Fairholm says:

I'm now very excited to announce that The Crooked Penny will be our opening act on the Saturday. They may be a new name to you and they are relatively new to me but I was lucky enough to see them support Mitsune 蜜音 recently in Stroud and they blew me away (Karen Elliott will likely agree how good they were). The Crooked Penny consist of May Kindred-Boothby, Brigite Rowan and Pearl Legay-Clarke, who sing trad-inspired folk songs and originals. They offer dreamy harmonies and haunting melodies with a feminist twist. An obvious comparison point for EppyFest regulars would be Hands of the Heron, and there are similarities in their sound, but they're also differences too (in both instrumentation & attitude) which will make them a highly intriguing proposition to EppyFest attendees. Also, regulars should by now know what a good hit-rate I…
